Do I need to be a member to use this app?
Yes, the SDC mobile app is only available to SDC members enrolled in a plan with effective coverage. To sign up for the SDC mobile app, please ensure that your SDC plan is effective and you have been enrolled in the plan by your employer. If you are already registered for Superior Direct Connect, you may use those credentials to log into the app.
At this time, the SDC mobile app is only available to members. Employers and dentists may continue to manage their accounts through Superior Direct Connect.
Can I use my Superior Direct Connect account credentials to login?
Yes, Superior Direct Connect and the SDC mobile app use the same account credentials. If you do not have a Superior Direct Connect account, the credentials you use to register for the SDC mobile app will allow you to log in to Superior Direct Connect. Your password and account profile information can be managed through Superior Direct Connect.
I'm not able to view my Plan Description or EOB (Android)

How do I turn on or turn off fingerprint scanning in the SDC mobile app on my iPhone?
To enable fingerprint scanning, you must first have a Touch ID capable iPhone, newer than iPhone 5. After successfully logging in with your username and password, you will be prompted to enable fingerprint scanning. If you accept, you will be prompted to scan your fingerprint at the login screen from that point on until you decide to disable it.
You can disable or enable fingerprint scanning at any time by visiting the "Settings" screen and changing the "Touch ID Authentication" setting. Touch ID fingerprint scanning is also available on iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, iPad Mini 3, and newer iPads.
Can I access any features of the app without logging in?
You can view your membership card from the app without logging in by pinning it to the login screen. First, log into the app and visit the "Membership Card" screen. At the bottom of the screen, click the "Pin to Login Screen" button. You will now be able to access your card from the "View Card" button on the login screen.
Is my benefit information secure?
I forgot my password. Can I retrieve it somehow?
To secure your password, we can not retrieve your current password, but we can send you a new temporary password. To reset your password, click the "Forgot Password" button from the login screen, and enter your SDC mobile app / Direct Connect username. A temporary password will be sent to the e-mail address associated with your SDC Mobile / Direct Connect account. Once you have logged into the SDC mobile app, you will be prompted to change your password. Enter the temporary password again, followed by your new password, and your password confirmation. Once you've updated your password, you may use it to log into the mobile app and Direct Connect.
I forgot my username. Can I retrieve it somehow?
To retrieve your username, click the "Forgot Username?" link under the buttons on the login screen. Once you enter the e-mail address associated with your account and submit, you will receive an e-mail with your SDC mobile app / Direct Connect username. If you do not know the e-mail address associated with your account, please call member services at 1-800-762-3159.
Can my dependents have the app on their phone too?
No, SDC Mobile / Superior Direct Connect accounts are only available to subscribers at this time.
Are all of my claims viewable through the app?
Both Superior Direct Connect and SDC’s mobile app provide access to your dental claims and associated EOBs from the past year. If you would like a copy of an older claim, please contact SDC’s member services team at (800) 762-3159. For vision claims, please contact Superior Vision at (800) 507-3800.
